We went on to the Ark-building site that Wednesday afternoon
Just a short section if it has been put up -- the actual Ark will rest on those concrete beams, and those concrete buildings will be behind it. It will extend much longer on both sides than this close-up picture shows.
When completed, it will be the largest wood structure in the world!
Figuring out the binoculars
It's in a very beautiful spot
Some closer shots of the workers...
This informative man explained more details...
Then we went out to eat with Suzanne and Ken that evening (such fun!)!
Old travel posters on the walls :)
We said goodbye to Aunt Suzanne and Uncle Ken after the restaurant -- it was so fun to see them!
Of course, a stop at this store to get snacks for the way home! :)
Thursday
The landscape was so pretty
Andrew multi-tasking -- talking to Travis E and giving travel directions to Daddy...
Old stone wall
Kentucky was the prettiest place yet -- truly, the white-fenced horse farms of the travel brochures :) Gorgeous!
Anyone like castles?
Low clouds rolling off the hills...
And, yes, we had quite a bit of rain as we drove!
Checking the phone's directions with a map
Lovely farmland
The tall, endless trees of Arkansas
Old cars...
