It's beginning to look alot like Christmas...

Our bare tree

The hot water stopped while Mom was in the shower, and the lights were very dim until we called the power company and they fixed the problem!

And the "new" car Dad bought which saves us a ton on gas! (It gets more than double the gas mileage of our van!)

The Guys fixed the dent in the door and replaced the broken window the morning after, (it came with the window busted and door dent) And we felt so cheery we put this sign on the steering wheel for Dad to find!
Ben's Birthday!

Warm in fur...

The guys watch/help Ben hang his new birdfeeder

O Tannenbaum

Shows how fat the tree is...

Best friends

Doing repairs!
One last paper cut---
"Will the mice get the cheese before the snakes get them?"

A new look at our piano

"all is safely gathered in.." except this wild sheaf of sorghum!

The rains descend!

A "new" tractor we bought...

...which the guys are rapidly fixing

"It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah."  Psalm 89:37

Fragile gills on a mushroom

What fun it is to see Snow Geese as they fly south!

A more dramatic view..

"The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined." Psalm 50:1

Thanksgiving! What a lot we have to be thankful for!

An antique persimmon.. : )

Searching for a Christmas tree...

A DeSeussian Lichen

Mom's birthday!
Calming green

The very fat specimen we cut down!

Ben trimmed and decorated this outdoor juniper!

Christmas Frenzy!
In which the Christmas tree receives an electric shock.
...And turns into a candy striped collection of electric filaments...

"And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child." Luke 2:1-5

Paper Cuttings...

Nathaniel and Ben were inspired recently to cut "snowflakes" out of post-it-notes! I was (and am) astounded at the beautiful and very intricate designs they have made!

Merry Christmas!

God's art

A thistle loses it's seeds...

The shrinking pond

More "snowflakes"...(these are eight sided--not six sided)

Early morning comfort

A window full of cuttings..

And more Christmas...

The Crusades

"The Ball and the Cross"
This one I did out of inspiration from the book of the same name!

Some more flights of fancy in architectural directions...

Specially for Stephen!
