Oh I think Deb's favorite car was the white truck next to the lovely pale teal oddity. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat on earth happened to the fire truck?
Karen, i hate that truck.
ReplyDeleteI am an unappreciative Deborah.
*grins*
ReplyDeleteYeah, I do, too. I don't like white cars very much because they always need washed.
Anyway, I know the pretty teal one was the one you liked because it was the most unusual car in the photo. Very pretty. Wouldn't mind having one myself! I was just being quirkly little old me who loves to tease her friends. ;-)
The fire truck? That's the way to reach the engine. I guess they were having mechanical issues of some kind, poor guys!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of fabric did you use for your swimsuits? Did you make your own pattern?
ReplyDeleteOur swimsuits are a Taslan* outer (jumper in my case, dress in Beth's), with a bodysuit of Lycra*. For my outer, I used a princess seam dress pattern (several sizes larger than normal), and just didn't make the sleeves. Beth opted to make her outer out of our "gathered blouse" pattern, altering the pattern to make it a dress.
DeleteDoes that help?
Yes, it does. Thanks!
DeleteWe have been really pleased with our swimsuits -- they're very comfortable: don't get in the way while swimming, etc. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Taslan (a non-stretchy fabric which dries really fast; sort of like boy's swim trunk fabric, but slightly thinner) is REALLY nice. Being lightweight and non-stretchy, it's infinitely better than a Lycra outer. :)
