Miscellaneous Life, and a Full & Joyous Sunday...

Cactus plants are so odd and funny!

If I had pierced ears (which I don't, and probably never will -- clip-on earrings serve all my "needs" :), these little darlings would be irresistible! :) :)

Deborah's hollyhock (which she planted two years ago) is blooming!

Still for an animation...

Ditto :)

Handsome, wonderful Micah!

Amy & I listen as Abby tells a story...

Abby

A long and serious conversation with Alvan (5 years old). :)

He's so cute and fun to talk to!

Back home, our dapper man of the scintillating blue tie relaxes

We're on our way to a concert that evening!

It's so great to go places all together! What a special blessing.

Part of our row -- for the Griggs ladies were able to come with us!

The gorgeous sanctuary -- a feast for the eyes.

The PCPC conductor, J. Marty Cope, leads the orchestra in Handel.

And for the highlight of the evening -- Dr. Alex McDonald, a homeschooler and Christian, who will be competing in the prestigious Van Cliburn competition in a few weeks!

The bow tie was a joke --he removed it before performing ;)

Playing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major, Opus 58
Utter command of his instrument, and uplifting musicality. He made it seem so easy, even though the piece was quite difficult! We're rooting for him for the Van Cliburn!

It was fun visiting with friends afterwards!

The guys & Dad discovered that the church had Trinity Hymnals -- but ones with hymn titles! What a nice improvement!
