Hats... :)

Hats! Has any of you ever seen a stunning hat and wished to wear it? :) I came across these hats only a few days ago, and just wanted to share! :)

    Let's see... I LOVE the teal hat but the second to last with the sage green ribbon is just me. And it's not as big as the others... we short people look like we're being eaten alive in a really BIG hat.

    Now to figure out what kind of dress to go under it...

      I agree about the turquoise hat -- it and the purple are my favorites, I think. :) Though I like them all, for otherwise I wouldn't have posted them. ;)

      For the teal hat, what about a white dress, with a accent like a turquoise/teal belt? :)A teal dress, unless a lighter color, probably would be a little too much. ;) You could even sneak a bit of hot pink in, to highlight the flower. White or teal heels?

      Someday, Karen, we ought to dress up with flamboyant hats and attend you-know-what! :) :)

      I love your idea of a white dress with a teal belt! Add to it a beautiful lacy sweater with three quarter length sleeves (so you can still wear bracelets) and white gold & lightly irridescent jewelry... like that necklace you made me one year but without the teal beads. And for a corsage, you can have the same flower but smaller than the one on the hat.

      White heels to match the white dress, but elegent pumps instead of heels for me, please (heels put me in significant pain!). If you had open-toed shoes or sandels, you could paint your toenails the same pink as the flower on the hat (actually, that's the color on mine as I write this - what a coincidence!).

      What kind of purse? I usually carry a large purse (you wouldn't believe what I put in it). Maybe for such an elegent get up, I should opt for something smaller? Should it be white or pink? Maybe both?

      Sure wish we could go to an elegent gala dressed like this! I miss getting dressed up like this. Maybe I should attend a concert or something so I could. Though it wouldn't be near as much fun as it could be if you were here with me.

      As for a purse, I'd go with an elegant little clutch (and don't forget the camera! :).
