A Busy Saturday - Part 2 of 2

The next event was a bucket brigade -- each fireman would scoop up a 5-gallon bucket of water, run with it to the red line, and try to knock over the post (marked here with the red oval) before racing back to give the bucket to another comrade...

Straight shot! ;)

Another Bonham guy tries his hand at it...

Bailey VFD was next!

Concentration

Massive dispersal!

Solid shot!

What a neat old car!

The last contest involved two departments, each trying to send the bucket (on a wire) the other's team's direction...

Bailey VFD at the ready

Then, that evening, rather a change of pace -- the Sherman Symphony Orchestra concert!

It was favorite arias and choral pieces from operas!

Really beautiful music, very well done!

And our favorite performer: Ben! :)

Okay, I said "A busy Saturday" -- but here's a few pictures from Sunday! :)
A rainbow on the Word of God...

Watching one of the "Unlocking the Mysteries of Creation" DVDs from ICR ("Institute in Creation Research").

Micah, being thoughtful :)

These two fun people came over to see it with us!

Enjoyment :)

  1. Hi Elisha!

Those Unlocking the Mysteries of Genesis DVDs are fantastic!! We watched them as a family and we really enjoyed them! We just recently finished watching The Evolution of a Creationist by Dr. Jobe Martin, those are very good too!

    Have a great day!
