After rain you get mud! --

The G's came over Monday night. :)
We had a lot of fun!
Then, Wednesday morning early, something special took place! Nathaniel and I left on a secretive mission to San Antonio -- he was going to propose to Katelyn Ehlinger!
The story starts in January, when, after discussing and praying about it with Mom & Dad, and with their full approval, Nathaniel called up Mr. Ehlinger and asked if he could court Katelyn. Mr. and Mrs. E. prayed about it, and then Nathaniel and Mr. E started talking twice a week -- Mr. Ehlinger asking questions, and discussing things. After about two months, on March 31st, Mr. E gave his full "green light" and told Katelyn of Nathaniel's interest in courting her. After praying about it, Katelyn said yes, she'd be thrilled to court Nathaniel! So she & Nathaniel started talking on the phone about twice a week, asking all the questions they could think of. That went on for about 2-1/2 weeks, and they both felt that they'd asked all the important questions they could think of -- they knew each other well already. Then, when the E's were at our house last weekend, Mr. E gave Nathaniel his blessing to ask Katelyn to marry him.
So Nathaniel went out Tuesday night and bought a gorgeous ring, then he & I drove down Wednesday morning! We hoped that Katelyn and her family wouldn't suspect, and that Nathaniel's arrival would be a huge surprise -- and it was! :) :)
Headed the seven hours down south...
Roses for a very special girl!
We saw lots of lovely bluebonnets!
Here we are! Katelyn had been lured over to Beth's, since Nathaniel thought Beth & Erich's rose garden would be the perfect setting. Mr. E had given Nathaniel the "ok" to ask Katelyn to marry him, but none of the Ehlingers (except Beth & Erich) knew he was coming that day!!
Bringing out the ring...
She said "Yes!"
Happiness
Everyone was SO thrilled -- but these two were walking on air! :) :)
Showing the ring to everyone...
Nathaniel's co-conspirator :) Beth was a great help!
The ring

The happy (ecstatic, overjoyed, thrilled, etc.) couple!
Another post to come!
