A Dusting of Snow

We had a dusting of snow!

Such fun to see snowflakes!

Taking a walk!

Mom & I are busy giving a final editing polish to my novel on the French Revolution... I'm really excited! :)

Sheriff is back!!!! How wonderful! He was accidentally locked in the neighbor's vacation house shed for two weeks! :0 :0 He's very thin, but he's alive! :)

Fun together

Ben made this lovely bouquet

It was a treat to have the L's over for dinner!

On our way to a concert -- Ben & Andrew read about the Tom Bean police. :)

So great to have these handsome guys with us! :)

Waiting for it to start...

It was so fun to visit with friends!

Stephen Nielson, concert pianist, and Christopher Adkins, who's been cello concertmaster for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for 26 years now, invited Nathan Olson (co-concertmaster of the DSO) to join them for their regular "recital."
(Trivia tidbit -- the violin was a 300-year-old Guarneri, and the cello was also an amazing 300-year-old piece of craftsmanship)
The music was beautifully performed and flawlessly executed. A feast for the ears!

    1. Dear devoted fan, :)
We can;t believe that Sheriff survived -- no food or water (except maybe a stray mouse or two!)!!! Reminds me of Black Dragon (?), years ago... :)
      Love,

  2. Black Dragon? Something tells me there's a story there...

Love the snowflakes! How on earth did you get such a good picture of them? I've tried that myself with extremely poor results.

  3. The snowflakes? A dark blue plate -- and the snow was really dry, not clumped together like usual in TX.

Black Dragon was the name of my mouse who, while we were on a trip, fled a cat who'd knocked over his cage (we conjecture), and ended up defying mouse mortality (they say they can't survive more than 24 hrs without food) by living in a closet for almost a week until we got back and found him! He'd been pudgy before -- but when found he was thin!
