This poor lady was killed in a train wreck in 1880...
How heart-wrenching to lose three little ones -- thankfully, so much less common today than a hundred years ago!
"I must go: they are calling me at the gate."

Since Deborah hates beards, Erich decided to fake a beard on Charlotte with some Spanish moss... ;)
Tiny bits of Autumn color
This headless cupid pic is for the Doug Smith girls -- remember the "Unbearable Puzzle?!" ;) ;)
A vice-president of the U.S. was buried here
Don't try to keep up with the Jones's!
One of the many who gave their lives for our freedom
A look up at the weird Spanish moss!

And then a little cake and poppers to celebrate Beth & Erich's 1st Anniversary!
Someone had a lot of fun with their camera!
ReplyDeleteGot a real kick out of the "Jones" picture. No, we don't want to keep up with them, do we?
The Jones' huge monument WAS the biggest and most elaborate in the whole cemetery (grin)! ;)
DeleteSo does that mean the everyone else in the cemetary decided to keep up with the Jones? ;-)
ReplyDeleteAt least, they tried... ;)
DeleteI'm not sure whether the cupid is more "unbearable" or less "unbearable" without a head...
ReplyDeleteI wonder, too... ;)
