Our pallet of organic chicken feed arrives, via big rig! ;)

Just when I had put all my warm winter clothes away, and was fully in the mood to wear Spring clothes, the weather turned wet and chill! ;) You can't see the drizzle here, but it was drizzling. Very fun weather -- but in a different way! :)

Here's a darling illustration about wet weather!

Drafting/altering a pattern (I'm on my own in this department now, since Beth's married! :) And (believe it or not) the blouse turned out charming! :)

A sneak-peek at an absolutely adorable dress Ben made for Debs!
I made one in the same fabric, being very bold and daring by altering my basic pattern ;), and very much liked the result, too!

Look! Someone is actually reading my blog!

A cup of hot chocolate and a good book on a cold day = perfect bliss. ;) :)

Mom collects some redbud to decorate our table

And returns victorious!

This way! :)

Debs made and decorated these cupcakes for the monthly family tea party she does. It was all very scrumptious, Deborah!

Spring flowers in electric yellow...

Black lace against an orange tapestry

More Spring blooms -- I'm enjoying every one!

This dog belonged to a pack of three that we spied on our place last week. We scared them off, so they wouldn't get the chickens or goats, and they wandered a half mile over to a neighbor's, where for some reason this one wanted to stay, while his buddies ran off. So Christine is trying to find a home for him... Pretty, isn't he? ;)

A delicious Asian-style dinner -- Mom's such a fantastic cook!

Not sure which kind of tree, but so darling!

100 meat chicks

I got new glasses! So grateful for glasses, and the ability to see well!

Deborah took this picture -- icing for her tea party's cupcakes... We all love her monthly family tea parties!

A Spring Sunday

Church is such a wonderful place -- a time of thought-provoking teaching, worshipping our Lord, and fellowship with friends! Our family feels very blessed to be a part of Grace Reformed Baptist in Bonham.
Here are just a few pics from the fellowship meal and visiting last Sunday:

In the far right of this pic is Hannah C., who kindly took the rest of the pics in this post! :)

(I'm not sure what Mr. L is doing with that flower centerpiece... ;)

Conversations...

Amy & I were almost wearing the same color :)

Nathaniel's Birthday and More...

Happy Birthday to a brother I admire and am so grateful for!

Birthdays are such fun! :)

A fireman beanie...

...brings smiles to all. :)

Wendy, Ben's goat. We're hopeing she's pregnant--if she is, she's due April 1st (and that's not a joke! ;).

Nabisco was Wendy's baby last year.

Micah!

Making a duck house...

It's so fun to get out in the soil again -- I planted basil plants in my herb garden, and added a gravel spillway.

Mom's tomato plants are such a vibrant green!

Here's an old painting by Jessie Wilcox Smith that I love!

The bouquet the S. family gave us has been a beautiful source of joy!

"When the Spring breeze blows,
And calls the Earth to wake,
The boating blood, the Viking blood
Draws young ones to the lake."
--poem jotted down on the spur of the moment to fill this blog space ;)

"Barging" makes for such epic poses!

(By the way, to calm your fears, the water's only a few feet deep. :) We really need more rain!)

Our gold truck is fixed at last, thanks to the hard work and energy of Nathaniel & Andrew!

The duck house, halfway finished...

Our oldest cat --

Art

I absolutely adore Redbud!!!!

Love the colors and contrasts...

The evening of Nathaniel's birthday, we played "Rhyme 'n Time" -- a game we haven't played much, but we enjoy when we do!

Darling Stephen tries to describe a word...

...with the help of a big brother who can read. :)

Now it's another team member's time to describe, and intense concentration shows upon the faces of the guessers...
Micah looks serious, Stephen thinks talking to himself is the best method of solving the issue, Mom is amused but is thinking hard too, while Nathaniel looks up in appeal to his Muse... ;) ;) (Okay, I'm having a bit of fun with this pic -- I don't believe in "Muses!")

Happy 22nd Birthday, Nathaniel!!!! We love you SO much!!!!

Oh, and by the way:
The site "Beautiful Womanhood," which posted my first published article when I was 17, just published another: Tearing Down Our Defenses With Our Own Hands. I'm thrilled! :)
