Friday evening, we attended the viewing for a family friend who suddenly passed away. :(

The next day, we attended her funeral. Our prayers are with her family in this terribly, terribly difficult time.

Mrs. B -- so sweet to get to talk to her!
 A fun little baby!

Daddy's home this week (what FUN!), and is doing some very needed work on our bathroom -- replacing the shower & surrounding drywall!
We sure are grateful for this great guy!
A darling letter in the mail from a friend... so many fun & merry letters in our mailbox in this wonderful season!

  1. Hey.
Just a thought as I was looking through this., and I’ll try to be brief. Your family seems to have a real heart for promoting modesty among women and that is much needed. However, the pic of the girl (one of your daughters, I think?) inserted between the pics of the viewing displays some immodest traits that perhaps you are unaware of? I know she technically meets the definition of “modesty” (no excess skin showing, or tight clothes that reveal nakedness), but her face does not. In the photography industry, we have a lay term for her expression which we call “the come hither” or the “bedroom” look - the lack of smile, the direct, penetrating stare of the eyes, the slightly dropped chin. The purpose of this look is to be mysterious and enticing, especially directed towards men. Her’s fortunately is mild (probably because she’s dressed so nicely), but it’s there. It isn’t a modest expression at all, and conflicts with the message her clothes send.
    God bless.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Mitch! We have tried to be modest but are in the continual process of trying to be in the world but not of the world. Thank you for exhorting us to purity and holy living!
      Have a blessed 2016!

  2. I have a random question. What camera do you use? Your pictures are always so beautiful, but your camera in the mirror picture looks quite simple. My camera is slowly dying and I am looking at getting a new/better one within the next couple years. I really still need to research and figure out what I want, but I just saw yours and was curious. :-)

    1. Oh, thanks, Andrea! That was sweet of you.
Yes, my camera is pretty simple (not the high-end, amazing, crazy-expensive kind!), but I have really been pleased with its quality. :) It's a Canon PowerShot SX280 HS. It seems to capture colors really well, and is simple to handle (and not huge, so it can be slipped into a clutch... :))
Hope you have a very blessed 2016!
      Love in Christ,
