  1. Ooh! What kind of guitar?
I've fallen in love with the instrument just in the last year. It's great for small musical groups, particularily if they include recorders or ocarinas.

  2. I'm not sure what kind--it is Dad's guitar from when we were little kids. Ben practices on it a little every once in a while and then teaches Andrew chords. We have shied away from the excessive rhythm which oftentimes is a great part of it--but I love classical guitar!

  3. I. too, dislike the use of the instrument as a rhythmic addidition. My goal is to learn a more classically oriented technique, although I plan to use chords (albeit in a pianistic way) to accompany my recorder students. Sometimes, I'll have Annie play the chords on her ukelele, and I'll pick out the melody on my guitar. That sounds very pretty.
It is my opinion that pop musical marginalizes the capeability of this instrument. Just my two cents. :-)
