Andrew took down the tree in preparation for New Year's!

Here is what Ben gave Mom for Christmas--very well done and rare at the same time!

A new shelf (when you get books for Christmas and your shelf is already full to bursting you have to do something!) (It is also a good way to display such beautiful gifts as the art-candlestick from Nathaniel and Andrew, and the frame from Elisha!)

Tranquility

Bunkbeds in the making! (for guests long awaited!)

Art
(Note the candles)

It is finally the day  for the E.'s to arrive!

Andrew contemplates the matches

Welcome!

And they are here!

Daniel studies and takes notes!

Mr. Hutchins thrilled us with the providential story of the stainless steel counters

On the way home we stopped to look at a beaver on the side of the road.

Travis wanted very much to take it home and skin it, but we didn't have anything to put it in so we left it. : (

Katelyn (and Kandace) were a great help to us!

The guys shot skeets till they ran out of ammo on New Year's Eve!

To our very great surprise, Dad, who has never done this before, just about left all the guys in the dust!

We so enjoyed having you all!

Rugalach
A delightful "cookie" that I only found out we could make last month! We fill ours with chocolate shreds, pecan peices and cinnamon, because that is the way I remember it being when I was little! (Dad used to buy it occasionally!)

  3. It is actually done with pastels. And the photo doesn't do it justice! :)

  4. I have not really ever tried my hand at painting. I DO love to draw though-- I like also to use colored pencils.
