Day 3...
We left the windows open during the night for circulation, and found a pair of wrens inside in the morning!
Andre and Stephan White came to help! (Andre is on the right in this photo.)
Billows of powdered lime!

An antique photo.
Day 2...
Daddy got to try his hand at this!
We were grateful for the help of some of the Kautt family! On the left are Johanna and Phoebe--Caleb came yesterday as well as today!
The scaffolding was a tremendous convenience!
Caleb and Dad ready to shovel.
Johanna's hair became gray from working under the scaffolding. (dropping "mud" was inevitable!)
We finished the "scratch" coat!
Day 1 of the plastering...
Andrew made several "hawks" for us to use because the store only had one!
Last minute preparations!
Nathaniel licks his lips as they mix up the "stone soup".

Deborah and Stephen love the puddles!
There is sticky mud underneath!
