Trip to SA! - Part 1

We had the most wonderful trip to San Antonio this past weekend --thanks to everyone who made it possible! :) :) The E's are some of the funnest people in the whole world, and we had a blast! :)
Getting into the van to start our trip!

Foggy in Dallas -- the skyscrapers disappeared into the clouds!

Micah drove part of the way -- he's getting to be a good driver!

Roadside beauty

Two fun guys :)

Another one! :)

And -- we've arrived!!!

Beth & Erich's roses flourished in the richest profusion!

"Mermaid"

Since the other E's were all at work when we arrived, we had a lovely couple of hours with Beth and her girls at her house!

Love your blouse, Bethy!

Selfie -- Charlotte's not too sure about it. ;)

Charlotte was enamoured with her new clothes -- she oohed and aahed over each dress... ;)

A childhood favorite of ours -- How Hippo -- is introduced to Charlotte

Chloe doll!

She wanted all her hairbows on at once ;)

An interesting way of holding up a new dress! ;)

Daddy enjoys his newest grandbaby :)

Charlotte: "My baby." ;)

Andrew is Charlotte's tech friend ;)

The Usefulness of Trees

What do we plant when we plant the tree?
We plant the ship which will cross the sea,
We plant the mast to carry the sails,
We plant the planks to withstand the gales--
The keel, the keelson, and beam and knee,--
We plant the ship when we plant the tree.

What do we plant when we plant the tree?
We plant the houses for you and me.
We plant the rafters, the shingles, the floors,
We plant the studding, the lath, the doors,
The beams and siding, all parts that be,
We plant the house when we plant the tree.

What do we plant when we plant the tree?
A thousand things that we daily see.
We plant the spire that out-towers the crag,
We plant the staff for our country's flag,
We plant the shade from the hot sun free;
We plant all these when we plant the tree.

Spring is Here...

The green everywhere is so lush and vivid!

Two unicyclers! Stephen is improving rapidly!

 Even Deborah has mastered it!

Evening -- when purple and gold mix...

Andrew shows that he hasn't lost the skill, either!

 Interesting reflection

 :)

 Friends :)

 Mowing...

Gerta, Nabisco's little girl, wasn't doing well yesterday morning, so Ben brought her inside! :)

 Bottle time!

It was rather fun, having this little cutie in the house!

 Rain clouds a'coming...

 Grazing

 The cutest wrapping ever... :)
(Deborah has a real knack!)

 Multi-tasking

This morning, this skunk went lippity-lopping across our yard! ;)

 Deborah's "Golden Princess" blooms...

Quote to Ponder

A friend shared this quote with me, and I thought it was really great and thought-provoking:

I'd love to hear ya'll's thoughts! :)
